Pay per Click can be a Profitable Marketing Strategy
by Miguel Pancardo on May.07, 2010, under Home Based Business
There are lots of different Internet marketing methods that regular web users can try in order to promote their new affiliate or products and services that they wish to offer to their target market. Many effective methods happen to be the ones that require no investment at all, such as posting in classified ads, forums, social networks, article directories, and blogs. However, these methods are time consuming and require a great deal of consistency especially if you wish to take a break and still earn some residual income.
Instead, web users go for the paid methods. These methods are often the faster route but can be a huge waste of money if wrong methods are done or if the recommended methods are performed incorrectly. For instance, pay per click is a form that can either make or break you depending on how you apply it to your Internet marketing. Despite risks, pay per click remains as a very important marketing tool for these reasons. Here are the reasons why pay per click is an important marketing tool.
Bridges Free Advertising Methods and More Expensive Methods
There are some stories about people that have lost some money by trying pay per click, but there are some services like Google AdSense that are highly flexible, allowing registered users to completely control their budget so they will never overspend. From the name itself, pay per click only requires you to pay if somebody clicks on your advertisement, unlike traditional newspaper advertising where you pay for the whole advertisement space. This means that low amounts of traffic will mean low expenses and higher amounts of traffic will mean more money spent. High amounts of traffic should be a good thing if the website is set properly for profit-making.
Pay per Click Gets Quick Results
Google AdSense is powered by the same Google that fuels their number one search engine. With millions of people using it every day to search for business opportunities, products, and services, your site should be bound for greater and quick exposure especially if a good campaign is set up. Many Internet marketers that tried the pay per click model see results faster than other marketing methods.
Pay per Click Can be Easily Customized
One of the advantages of Google AdSense is how easy it is to change the text advertisement any time you wish. You should do this in line with tracking the AdSense campaign itself. In other words, you should check your statistics often to determine whether your campaign is gaining any traction. If it’s not, adjust the text advertisement if you think it will help. The adjustment can be done at no additional cost.
If the Campaign is Working, Pay per Click Continues Working Automatically
With all of these sales or commissions that you are making, you should be able to afford these campaigns. You should maintain this strategy so that your site stays on a leading position in search engine results. Your site may even be number one as long as you can afford that slot. As long as you continuously track your progress and keep your website fully functional, you should be able to get some great results using pay per click.

Google Adwords And Why It Helps
by Tim R Cooper on Feb.19, 2010, under Home Based Business
Improve your marketing with Google Adwords.
For those who do not know, Adwords is a site set up by Google in order to help people in need of advertising. It mainly deals with getting a business or site more widely known without the advertiser resorting to spamming. It places the ad on sites with Adsense as well as Google and people click on them, sending them to your site.
The default way to pay in Google Adwords is for impressions. You pay from 25 cents for 1000 impressions. You can choose to pay all in advance to avoid excess advertising, or ongoing. Google accepts both.
You may also decide to buy clicks instead. Google will not charge you even one cent unless the ad is clicked, and even then, the fee is one cent for each click.
Impressions are the riskier choice, but if you can create a good ad, you could have up to one thousand viewers for as little as a quarter. You need to make an ad that can stand out so people do not skip over it, or you may just lose out. You will need to do some actual work creating an ad that people like, but you didn’t really think a business did not involve being busy, did you?
On the other hand, Pay per click guarantees visitors. If somebody clicks, you pay. If not, you do not pay. This is the right choice if you are looking for visitors but do not want luck to be a factor in your advertising.
When you begin advertising, you will pay an activation fee of only five dollars. If you choose the prepay option, your total payment for advertising must be at least ten dollars. Credit cards are accepted for both prepay and postpay. Bank accounts are accepted for postpay and debit cards are accepted for prepay. Once your payment has been sent, you are ready to advertise.
Adwords reaches people who use Google as well as any site that uses Adsense, so your ad will literally be on hundreds if not thousands of sites, one of which has thousands if not millions of hits a day (Google). People will know about your site. As long as you do not make it sound like some get rich quick scheme, you will get visitors.
Google Adwords allows any business to advertise to a broad audience.

Using AdWords Advertising
by Justin Harrison on Feb.01, 2010, under Home Based Business
An AdWords advertising campaign is built around short but carefully worded advertisements. Although limited in size these advertisements can be very successful in attracting the attention of users who will then click on the advert and be taken to your website.
Two methods for this advertising practice exist related to the positioning of advertisements. Once you’ve set up your AdWords campaign, you will be presented with the option of either placing your ads on the search or the content network (in this case, AdSense), or on both.
Search network advertisements are assigned many keywords that would match the text of the advertisement and that is an excellent method for getting searches to locate your product or service.
Within the content network, as opposed to the other, your ad will be surrounded by an article or other content which is related. So in this scenario, your ad is viewed by readers who are maybe not thinking about purchasing at the moment, so, they are only browsing and not searching.
Because of this, contextual advertisements normally do not have the same impact as search advertisements. If your desire is to target both markets you want to create two separate marketing campaigns as this will allow you to expand your target area and inevitably increase traffic to your site.
Even though an ad put on a content network may not have as good of results as a search based ad, there are some positives about using contextual ads. The cost is lower per click and you usually have more control over where the ad is placed.
If you have an active search advert on AdWords and want to try out the content network, you may wish targeting content advertising separately. Although it may be possible for you to reproduce your search network advertising copy verbatim, the content network has a more passive audience and this approach may not be appropriate. Reworking of the copy with this in mind may prove to be a more effective campaign.
In summary, a well-run campaign on a search network will generally be the best and most reliable way to generate business. However, with some cleverness and savvy and well-written copy, it is certainly possible that this could be supported by a complementary campaign running on the content network.

What Should You Consider About Article Marketing Vs Pay-Per-Click Marketing
by Bob Howard on Jan.19, 2010, under Home Based Business
Is there a difference in value when considering Article Marketing vs PPC Marketing? Most of us believe that separate values are assigned to something that lasts a long time and something that wears out quickly. This may be a cornerstone in determining the worth of two distinctly separate approaches to marketing.
You can achieve immediate impact and return from ppc strategies if you have a budget. Like craftsmanship, articles will require and investment of time and patience while you await results. You must first inventory your supply of money and determine how much time you can invest as well.
Purchasing key phrases and keywords will likely require a significant budget on your part. After spending the money you will need to spend your time to review your findings. This vital time spent will aid you in your efforts to refine the approach that translates to profits.
If you have a zero budget or little funding then you should consider articles as your primary marketing tool. The material presented in your articles may carry much more weight than an ad and create a dedicated readership. If readers benefit in some way they are much more likely to return and recommend your site.
When you have a full wallet you can simply step up and buy listings from reputable ppc companies on the net. There may be a general understanding that you exist in this slot because you bought it. Many people believe that article writers win over their readers and provide value. You may benefit from blending these two ingredients.
Even a limited expenditure on ppc can garner valuable information about which words should be important to use in articles. It is better to know your most valuable keywords and phrases before you write dozens of articles.
You have to determine how much money and how much time you have to spend. Both are currency considerations when you launch. People can purchase many boxed, canned, or frozen foods for the price of a family meal in a restaurant.
The money will go farther at the store and you can prepare several meals designed just for your family’s taste. Article marketing is like that because you craft each one for your reader’s particular appetite. You serve up one relevant article after another ensuring they want a seat at your table on a regular basis.
Purchasing positions will require you spend funds on a routine basis. You may make changes and purchase again and again. For budget giants this can be a fast route to generating leads and money. You will need to dissect your results before you place your next purchases to ensure optimized results.
When you use both approaches you have the opportunity to realize the benefits offered by each endeavor. Ensure you have thoroughly investigated all the tools, tactics, and tricks of the trade to adequately evaluate both routes.
Increased readership, vital back links, and wide recognition may be the welcome results of your articles. Instant feedback and monetary gain may be the result of judicious ppc strategies.

Google Adwords Advertising Tips
by Justin Harrison on Jan.18, 2010, under Home Based Business
It is incorrect believe that the top search terms are good choices for keywords. This seems logical but it doesn’t take into account other competition. Picking keywords that match the advertiser’s business usually have more of an impact.
Providing terms that are descriptive can draw a better group of people. Using a phrase like “cook books” instead of just “books” will commonly result in more conversions due to the fact that it will appear to people actually searching for cook books instead of just books. Providing a term like “Italian cook books” can result in even more conversions.
There isn’t much benefit to an advertiser if the receive many clicks but below average conversion rates. Viewers who are merely clicking on ads and not purchasing anything are only costing the advertiser money. Drawing more likely candidates requires well targeted keywords. This results in a better conversion rate and better ROI.
To get traffic to your site, you need to figure out what key words you want to use. Think about your product and think about what the product will do for the customer. And from there you can figure out what key words you want to add. This way you will get a lot of clicks to your site and then you will have potential company’s.
It helps to consider how a customer might think, too. According to Google, it is a good idea to create a list of search terms that consumers might use when performing an Internet search for specific goods and services. Think about the various ways they may spell some of those terms, too. For example, someone searching for low calorie foods might type “light foods” or “lite foods.” To make sure you attract the greatest number of consumers, be sure to incorporate all possible spellings when creating a list of keywords for your site.
It is vital that you keep track of a campaign’s effectiveness. Google’s conversion tracking tool and Google Analytics can help you do this. They can be used to evaluate each new campaign and any revised versions you may use. If you are disappointed with the clicks an ad draws you can make changes as necessary. Then you can evaluate the results of the changes and fine tune things further if you need to.

Three Tips To Dominate Your Competition in Your Internet Lawyer Marketing Efforts
by Anthony M. Flores on Jan.07, 2010, under Computers
You’re fooling yourself if you don’t see the web is replacing old-guard marketing that law firms used to use like yellow books, newspapers & even TV in some regions. The web is by far the best place for clever Lawyer Marketing experts to get the internet clients over other attorneys in their local geography. Don’t worry, if you haven’t started marketing your firm on the internet yet, you haven’t totally missed out. Here are strong suggestions to get you going:
1. Don’t Wait Any Longer – SEO Now. Start to SEO your website. You are invisible to people looking specifically for you every day. There are truly thousands of searches every month by someone looking for a DUI Attorney (or what you practice) in San Diego (or your city). Bottom line, you need to be found on the search engines, ideally the first page. That is what SEO does for you. If done well, SEO will get you on the top for the most-searched phrases internet users are typing in to find a lawyer.
2. Spend The Money For A Pro In Legal SEO – Yes, there are many things that you can do on your own to help your cause, but there is only so much improving of your meta tags, improving your headings, bolding your text and other simple optimization techniques you can do yourself. Why do people hire you? Because you know what you are doing. Whatever money you spend on a good SEO Consultant for Law Firms is money well spent. But do your research. Don’t just hire a local company who says they ‘know’ optimization. Make sure they are good at optimizing legal websites, as lawyer sites are very competitive and difficult to get on page one.
3. Invest in A Quality Website – Think like an Attorney Marketing Professional. Don’t get a low-quality website here. You are fighting with other firms who know the value of getting clients from the internet. Think of your site as a something to bring you clients. The true purpose of your lawyer marketing is to get them to email or call you. And don’t just focus on the people who are looking for you on Google and don’t know who you are yet, but make sure you keep the people who do know who you are!
Check up on them too. Go To Google and search Lawyer Marketing, or Lawyer SEO. If their own website shows up for those highly-competitive lawyer marketing terms, then they should have the ability to get your web site ranked high too. Depending on your city and practice area, (some like Criminal are more competitive than others) you could expect to pay one to three thousand dollars a month or more for a qualified SEO professional. But if thousands of people are looking for your specialty, do you think you would get at least one to two clients a month? What would you make from those cases you want?
Another attorney refers you a case, where are they going to go to look YOU up? Absolutely! The web! So when they type your name into Yahoo, be certain that what they see is something you are proud of. The last thing you want is for someone to be so disinterested with your image that once they find you, they go back to Yahoo and find your competitors.
Expand your case load thanks to the internet. If you want to excel at attorney marketing, use these tips and start taking advantage of the power of the internet. Good luck, share your ideas with us! I will be happy to help!

SEO and Backlink Building
by Justin Harrison on Dec.25, 2009, under Home Based Business
If you are trying to rank high in a search engine for a competitive phrase, you will need more than SEO tactics. You will need a lot of backlinks.
Backlinking is essential to getting traffic on a web page. Backlinking is when a site you have linked to puts a link on their site for yours. As you will notice, two or three good back links is the key to a lot of hits.
When evaluating links for popularity, search engines like Google, MSN, and Yahoo, look at how often your site is linked to by an outside person. This link is considered a vote for the information you have provided on your site. By linking, it show that someone valued the information on your site. The more links you have, the better your site must be.
The anchor text takes priority over the quantity of links to your site. An anchor text is the text which you can see and click on for a text link. A search engine can locate your anchor text and utilize it to determine the nature of your site.
This is the reason why it is desirable to have main keywords incorporated within the anchor text of incoming links. Having understood the importance of backlinks, we will now explore ways to get them.
Qualtiy site content which is unique will be the main reason people will link to your site. You will benefit if your site is different and perhaps even controversial. If people view your site as special they will be more apt to link to it.
When other company’s approach you to join your site, allow them to, because this way you not only expose your company to potential customers, you can help other company’s as well.
Create articles and enter them in directories containing articles. This will cause them to be selected and posted on many sites with links to your site in the Resource Box. Just one article could result in dozens of links. You might also pick a few sites in your target market and offer to provide a regular column. Or agree to share content so each site receives a hyperlink.

Article Marketing 101
by Justin Harrison on Dec.22, 2009, under Home Based Business
The practice of article marketing involves writing and publishing online articles about certain topics, with the goal of enhancing your business’s credibility, by framing you as an expert in your field or niche in addition to increasing its visibility on search engines.
Of course as with any type of advertising campaign if you choose this approach it is essential that you have a well-developed marketing strategy firmly in place in order for you to be successful. You will need to take into account the objectives in your plans for using articles to market your business, decide who will actually be writing the articles, and develop an efficient resource box for you to go over all of your information and decide where you want to place the articles once they have actually been written.
The purpose of this of the type of marketing is to increase website traffic flow. Quality written articles are required. Many are needed, a few will not do the trick. You will have to commit yourself to keeping writing article after article.
If you are able to devote the time necessary, you will find that writing an article is an excellent skill to possess. Article writing is a skill you can learn and doesn’t require you to be highly talented. Your best bet is to select topics you are familiar with and that tie in with your company.
The articles you write need to be compelling, full of information, and present your company as an expert in your industry. You shouldn’t advertise products because this discourages readers, but you should provide helpful information on topics related to your product.
Either should be able to write the articles yourself or you need to hire a freelance writer to do the job. But before giving him any details make sure that he is proficient in article writing and will give you his original work.
In your marketing strategy development, the final step is to decide where your articles should be published. You can target your ideal demographic by using blogs, websites and social networks which are related to your product or service.
Article marketing is a great way to approach marketing. This is because a well written article is often republished various times in different places around the internet, providing numerous links back to your website.

Carefully Research Your Chosen Product Before Your Rush Into It!
by Anthony M. Flores on Dec.17, 2009, under Computers
I am sure you are ready to leap into the game and get your Google Adwords account rolling become you have learned about PPC Management and you believe you have the best idea for something to sell. You need to reign in your gung-ho attitude (this attitude is awesome but save it) and settle down to do some in-depth research about the products. You will discover that a little extra research will save you quite a bit of money. If you do not do your research and start doing PPC blindly then you will waste your time, which in the end is a waste of money when you could be doing something that was more productive.
Get an idea of your target market, the spending patterns of people you want to sell to.
You want to attract people who are shopping, rather than traffic that is just looking for information. It is important for the traffic to translate into sales. You will have to accept that you may end up trying to sell a completely different product entirely once you have done your research. If you want to be successful, you have to be honest with yourself and not fool yourself.
Imagine you have the ability to purchase an item at a good price from someone who owns the factory that makes it. You purchase several packages of that item for 50 cents per package. In your travels, you remember seeing that very same item at variety and discount stores selling for between $1.50 and $1.75 for each package. By providing that same item for a lower price than the competition, you will see a big profit immediately. Right? Perhaps.
You will need to do some research to see how many consumers are actively searching for taffy to purchase online through Google. While the term taffy may be entered into the Google search engine 450,000 times each month, it may seem like an awesome deal. Sounds like a good deal. Correct? But, hold up… What if you altered the query to “taffy for sale”? If you were looking for places that sell taffy online, isn’t that what you would enter? Check and see how often that particular query is entered.
You see that it only had 400 hits last month. Taking that into consideration, you must calculate your costs and how many you would have to sell to see a profit. Is it still worth it to sell this item? Well, looking at it that way, it doesn’t look like you’ll be able to make enough money selling the item even if you can get it cheap.
By doing this simple, yet often overlooked, exercise you will save yourself a lot of time, grief and money over the short term, and long term. But you will also keep your expectations realistic. And by doing this type of research ahead of time, you might find areas that are just as profitable, but less competitive as well.
